EDITORIAL POLICY

THE FLAMING TORCH is a Christian periodical designed to present the issues to Bible Believing Independent Baptist Churches and Individual Christians. It is not, and never shall be, all things to all men.

Some will be offended at the King James only articles; some interdenominational and some King James only folks will be offended at Local Baptist Church articles; some in all camps will, no doubt, be upset at various other articles. We know that we cannot please everyone, and we don’t even try. We expect that the Pharisees and Sadducees will continue to gripe. So be it.

THE FLAMING TORCH does not cater to its buddies or to its biggest contributors. Articles are freely duplicated from various periodicals with proper credit given and without competitive jealousy. You do not have to know the editors, financially support the paper – or be in complete agreement with the stand of THE FLAMING TORCH in order to have your articles published.

We do not (and cannot, nor will not) research the character, doctrinal position, or association of the contributing writers and advertisers. We will not listen to the "grape-vine" (gossip) from contributing writers’ and advertisers’ adversaries. We will not be a party to personal vendettas!

We have no taste for debating an issue, as some do, armed with slime dug up from a brother’s personal life, but prefer to meet the issues on their own merits.

We publish articles, sermons, notes of interest, etc., from many different sources. Just because we publish an article does not mean we are in agreement with every statement made by the writer – nor that we agree with the way he may operate his church or ministry.

THE FLAMING TORCH is humble enough to know that it is not the biggest, the best, or the only Bible Believing periodical. We are just one small voice crying out in the wilderness of these last days and will do our best to continue to do so, the Lord willing – UNTIL HE COMES FOR US! EVEN SO LORD JESUS COME QUICKLY!!!!

CONTENTS OF THIS PAPER

With all the articles we publish on various subjects there will be those who disagree with an article or parts of an article. Remember the content of articles are those of the writer and do not necessarily reflect those of the editors of this paper nor those who advertise in this paper.

If you have a disagreement with an article which you wish to discuss DO NOT contact the editors of this paper, unless they wrote the article, but write directly to the writer of the article. Thank You!

If you make a donation to THE FLAMING TORCH or to EDITOR DON EDWARDS and want to take a tax deduction please make your check payable to the GRACE BAPTIST CHURCH and mail to Pastor Charles Perkins, 1097 State Hwy. 176, Galena, Missouri 65656. Just tell Pastor Perkins where you want your gift to go and that you would like a receipt. If you do not do this you CANNOT take a tax deduction.
