Is The Soul Created At Birth And “IS” Abortion Murder? By

E-MAIL: herbevans@juno.com This is my take on the soul issue at birth and abortion being murder, as well as a short excerpt from the Fairhaven Baptist College* paper, The Fundamentalist, 2009, Volume 1, p. 11, which does not quote the source tape but only says that it is copied from an undated sermon tape by Dr. Peter S. Ruckman. *Note:
This church/College has been King James for some time
since Chris McNeilly was the leading professor there,
and we assume the church and school are still of that
same mind. They even have a college street called My
Past Defense Of
Dr. Ruckman Most
folks know that I have, over many years, been a staunch
defender of Dr. Peter Ruckman’s defense of the King
James Bible. He is the main reason for our success in
defending it against the Bible Correctors. I did write
some public articles and tracts against some other things
that he taught (without naming his name) like “Jesus
Being Capable of Sinning,” circumcision of the body
from the soul, his interdenominational views of the
invisible church and body, and intimating dates regarding
the rapture, and his GAP theory (Genesis 1 ˝). I
also have defended him, when his critics needlessly
and foolishly assailed him about divorce and the antichrist
coming in a flying saucer or some other imaginative
comments that he had preached at some time or other
that were extra-scriptural speculations and not really
doctrine. Years ago, I even gave him a pass on his rationalization about a baby not being a soul until it was out of the womb, since he based his interpretation on scripture, namely, Genesis 2:7, because in many things we all offend, especially if you are a prolific writer. Still, I did not agree with much of his assumptions, speculations, imaginations, and interpretations. Although
our ministries have never been connected, he has published
many of my articles. I have even been accused often
of being a “Ruckmanite,” whatever that means, since
I am indeed a KING JAMES ONLY, but then I am also a
local church only, which he is not. The
Why Of This
Article This
is my first negative public article that names Dr. Ruckman
in over 35 years. I hope this will not be construed
as revenge, since I was personally and publicly attacked
in the Bible Believers Bulletin a few years back. A
few years back, Dr. Ruckman’s Bookstore teamed up with
the song letter to publish an article on me in the BBB.
Instead of doing as I do and correct and reprove the
doctrine that one objects to, they rather made the thing personal on Herb Evans. When
I complained to the Pensacola church song leader, Dr.
Ruckman, and the bookstore boss behind the incident
(who is copyright whacky), I only received one reply
from the song leader, who wrote the attack on me. Apart
from that one reply, all subsequent correspondence to
the song leader, Dr. Peter Ruckman, and the bookstore
boss, all were ignored and unanswered by all except
one bookstore fellow who tried to act as an intermediary
and shield the others and do damage control for them. Unfortunately,
he listens to his bookstore fellows, who have his ear,
and who are tired of my local church only position that
disagrees with their pastor, who sought to undermine
the friendly relationship that I had with Dr. Ruckman.
I was urged by others, privy to the incident, to go
further in public with the incident, but I gave it a
pass, causing those urging me to think that I was a
coward to not do so. Still,
I love the man for what he has done for the King James
Bible, and it grieves me to have to publicly identify
his name with this polemic and apologetic, one who has
been a friend and co-defender of the KJB Bible. We had
not been aware of any of Dr. Ruckman’s comments that
abortion was not murder. In fact, we understood that he was against abortion. It is impossible for me to defend such comments but rather to speak out against something that pontificates that abortion is "not murder." The
Beginning Of The Human
Soul And the LORD God formed man
of the
DUST OF THE GROUND, and
BREATHED
INTO HIS NOSTRILS THE BREATH OF LIFE; and man
BECAME A LIVING SOUL. -- Gen 2:7 For he shall be great in the
sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor
strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost,
EVEN FROM HIS MOTHER’s WOMB. – Luke
1:15 Adam
was created from the DUST of the
ground rather than by the joining of a sperm with an
egg. I knew, years ago, that Dr. Ruckman’s error here
was due to the fact that he did not grasp that Adam
and Eve were not created as babies but as adults, and
also that Eve did not require any breathing of life
or soul into her, since she was made an adult from Adam’s
rib, having Adam’s DNA. Selah! Think of that! From
the time of Eve’ creation, until now,
God no longer had to breath life or souls into
babies that were already living in the womb with a soul
already inside their . . . ah . . . "organism."
Even John the Baptist was filled with the Holy Spirit
from his mother’s womb. Jeremiah was known by God in
his mother’s womb. Even Jesus had a soul and spirit
in His mother’s womb before being born physically. The
WOMB And What It
Contains Why died I not FROM THE WOMB? why did I not GIVE UP THE GHOST when I came out of the belly? -- Job 3:11
Wherefore then hast thou brought me forth out of the womb? Oh that
I had GIVEN UP THE GHOST, AND NO EYE HAD SEEN ME! -- Job 10:18
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and BEFORE
thou camest forth OUT OF THE WOMB I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. – Jer. 1:5 He took his brother by the heel IN THE WOMB . . . Hosea
12:3 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither
wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the
Holy Ghost, EVEN
FROM HIS MOTHER”S WOMB . . . – Luke 1:15 . . . when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, THE
BABE LEAPED IN HER WOMB . . . For, lo, as soon
as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears,
THE BABE LEAPED IN MY WOMB FOR JOY
. . . Luke 1:41, 44 John the Baptist had a soul in his mother’s womb. Joy is a thing
of the soul. The characteristic of ambition and greed
and competitiveness are things of the soul. Having the
"ghost" to give up in one’s mother’s
womb is evidence of the living soul. The
very fact that the biblical writers acknowledged that
they were identities and/or personalities and persons
(souls) by using the pronoun “I” in regard to their
existence in the womb is over- whelming evidence that
they were living souls. Still, in all this someone who
believes differently is not a heretic, but is misinformed
and does not believe the KJB in these places or merely
avoids and ignores them.
. . . Behold,
thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and now drink no
wine nor strong drink, neither eat any unclean thing:
for the child shall be a Nazarite to God from the womb to the day of his death.
Then Manoah intreated the LORD, and said, O my Lord,
let the man of God which thou didst send come again
unto us, and teach us what we shall do unto the CHILD
that shall be born. -- Judge 13:7, 8
I
can tolerate a person getting the wrong interpretation
of Gen. 2:7, but to calling abortion (intentional killing)
as not being murder; I cannot abide that. Notice how
Dr. Ruckman calls it an "organism;" the KJB calls it a “CHILD,” as do other scriptures
(Gen. 16:11; 19:36; 38:25).” A child without a soul?
So, the following is why I left “Abortion is Not Murderism.”
Let everyone be advised that we count it to be MURDER!

an undated sermon by Dr. Peter Ruckman on Genesis 2:
I
Teach that a baby is not a living soul until it breathes
I'm considered a great heretic for teaching that, but
then again if a man goes by the King James Bible he's
bound to be a heretic these days And
so I don't teach
that abortion is murder like the brethren do.
. . . Some of the brethren get to harping on
these things. They say, 'Abortion is murder abortion
is murder; abortion is murder'. They show you pictures.
They are trying to prove that the thing looks like a
person and therefore it is a person. That's what Darwin
taught. You gotta watch that business. You
can take an embryo of an animal and prove fiat it looks
ate an embryo of a person that doesn't make it a parson.
. . .Now I'll grant you that the child is an organism. I'll grant you that it may be alive and have
animal life. But if you are talking about
a living soul, I
read my Bible and there is no living soul there until
the Lord breathed into there until the Lord breathed
into his nostrils the breath of life. If you ever start teaching the other, you are
going to have some real problems. When
all of those Indians and Hindus came into Bangladesh
and Pakistan and raped about 2,000 woman and left them
with about 800 illegitimate children, the good Catholic
nuns in order to increase the membership in the church
in the church decided it would be a terrible sin to
have any abortions. So they taught that it was the will
of God for 800 women, who were abused against their
will, to bear children to the Roman Catholic Church.* -- copied (quoted source Ruckman tape not included in the Fairhaven article)
*Note: I cannot believe, defend,
refute, or substantiate or agree with Dr. Ruckman’s
comments that Catholicism’s views on abortion started
in India with some nuns or these nuns’ motives, which
neither he nor anyone else can know. That is how Nancy
Pelosi got in trouble with Catholicism, saying that
