Will It Take For A True Revival to Come?

2 Chronicles 7:14
I have observed over the
years Independent Fundamental Baptist churches lead by struggling preachers
and spiritual leaders being over taken with carnality, contention, confusion,
and an exchange of our true scriptural Christian heritage for a carnal
contemporary so call Christianity.
America, our country, which
has testified "In God We Trust" is significantly blinded by
satanic darkness and wears a cloak of extreme wickedness that is spread
across our land from shore to shore liken unto the days of Noah and Sodom
and Gomorrah.
The questions can be asked:
What is the cause? Where is the blame? What is the answer?
Dr. Lee Roberson said, "Everything
rises or falls on leadership."
Hence forth, it can be said,
when the preachers and the spiritual leadership are spiritually weak and
walk in spiritual darkness the people who follow consequently will be
spiritually weak and also will walk in spiritual darkness.
In contrast, if our churches,
communities, as well as America are to have sufficient spiritual light
to escape the prevailing satanic darkness, true Bible preachers and spiritual
leadership within the Churches of the Lord Jesus Christ have to experience
true revival of sufficient spiritual light to expel the darkness of sin,
the devil, and the depravity of the world.
We who are preachers and
spiritual leaders must recognize the primary responsibility for a true
sweeping revival of God’s people and the calling of America to repentance
towards God and faith towards Jesus Christ our Savior, God, and Lord according
to the scriptures is foremost with us.
It stands to reason to say
that when we who are preachers and spiritual leaders achieve a state of
and continuing to seek a true perpetual Holy Ghost revival in our own
lives those who follow us will likewise experience the same.
The Bible says:
"If my people, who
are called by my name…"
Revival will come when
preachers and spiritual leaders search their hearts and recognize they
need revival:
- Preachers need to search their hearts
daily: Psalm 139:23-24
- Preachers need to discover and confess
sins of omission (unrecognized sin) and commission (sin knowingly committed):
Psalm 19:12-13
- Preachers need to not cover (deny, make
excuse for, or blame others for) their sins but confess and forsake
them: Proverbs 28:13
"shall humble themselves…"
Revival will come when
preachers and spiritual leaders humble (dependent upon the Lord)
themselves before the Lord: James 4:6-10
- Pride, an independent spirit, as with
every believer, is our down fall: James 4:6
- Grace is what we need: James 4:6
- God must be submitted too: James 4:7
(Submission to God places us in a position to receive God’s grace
by faith.)
- The devil must be resisted: James 4:7
- Draw near to God in repentance and forsaking
your sin: James 4:8-9
- Humble yourselves in the sight of the
Lord: James 4:10
- God will lift us up in our personal
relationship to Him in spiritual depth and consistency if we will
consistently humble ourselves in the Lord’s sight…
- God will lift us up in our ministries
with the person, power, and purpose of the Holy Spirit with scriptural
effectiveness and fruitfulness in exalting and glorifying the Lord
Jesus Christ if we will consistently humble ourselves in the Lord’s
sight…
"and pray…"
Revival will come when
preachers and spiritual leaders fervently pray:
- Pray, pray, and pray some more: James
4:2; 5:16-18; Luke 18:1
- Pray scripturally and for the glory of
God: James 4:3; 1 Corinthians 10:31
- Pray for revival: James 4:2
- How often do you personally pray for personal
and other’s revival? James 4:2
- How often do you lead the church to pray
for revival? James 4:2
- History through out the church age has
proven that true and significant revival was preceded by God’s people
praying for revival: The Great Awakening, Praying Hyde in India; Moody
in England and America, the movement of the Holy Spirit at times during
the 20th century… James 4:2
- The Old Testament sets the precedent
for praying for revival: Psalm 85:6; Habakkuk 3:2
"and seek my face…"
Revival will come when
preachers and spiritual leaders seek God’s face:
- Seek God’s face with your whole heart:
Jeremiah 29:13
- Seek God’s face in true worship: John
4:23-24
- Seek God’s face through the Word: 2
Corinthians 3:18
- Seek God’s face with the daily offerings
of sacrifice of your bodies which infers the sacrifice of your: time,
talents and treasures: Romans 12:1-2
- Seek God’s face by faith: Hebrews 11:1,6
- Seek God’s face by laying aside what is
hindering us and the sin of unbelief: Hebrews 12:1
- Seek God’s face by looking unto Jesus
the author and finisher of our faith: Hebrews 12:2
"and turn from their
wicked ways…"
Revival will come when
preachers and spiritual leaders repent and turn from their wicked ways
of:
- Repent of prayer-less-ness: (Prayer
and ministry of the Word is the primary mandate of the preacher.
Acts 6:4) (Prayer and fasting is the primary way of pulling down
Satan’s strongholds. Matthew 17:18-21)
- Repent of preaching without the significant
preaching of the contextual interpretation and application of the Word
of God, the B-I-B-L-E (Basic Instructions
Before Leaving Earth):
2 Timothy 4:2-4
- Repent of powerless lives, preaching,
and ministries absent of the anointing of, the filling of the person,
power, and purpose of the Holy Spirit with evidence of souls being saved
and believer’s lives being perpetually revived and discipled in the
grace and knowledge of God: Ephesians 5:17-18; Acts 2:41;
4:31-33
- Repent of positions of unbelief because
of focusing on the seemly insurmountable situations and circumstance
that befall us today: Mark 5:36-41
- Repent of hiding from the Lord and blaming
others for your fruitlessness: Genesis 3:8-12
- Repent of procrastinating from looking
unto and laboring in the field white already for harvest: John 4:35
- Repent and let the Lord Jesus Christ come
into your lives and ministries with His person, power, and purpose in
a reviving way for He stands at the doors of our lives and ministries
and knocks during this Laodicean age: Revelation 3:20, 22
"then will I (God)
hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal
their land (Or by way of application our personal lives, ministries,
churches, communities, and country will experience a God sent perpetual
revival with the evidence of souls being saved and believers set apart
by faith in experience for God’s glory.)." V
