A CHRISTIAN SHOULD BELONG TO A TRUE
BIBLE
BELIEVING B-A-P-T-I-S-T CHURCH?

Although there are many
reasons why a Christian should belong to a true Bible believing Baptist
Church, the following seven reasons are found in the acrostic of the word:
B-A-P-T-I-S-T.
Baptism by immersion is
the scriptural mode of baptism is found taught in a true Bible believing
Baptist Church.
- Baptism is for believers only: Acts
8:26-37
- Baptism is to be by the mode of immersion,
to dip under: Acts 8:36-39
- Baptism is a public profession of faith
in Jesus Christ and identification with Him that illustrates His death,
burial, and resurrection: Romans 6:3-5
Absolute authority of
the Bible is found taught in a true Bible believing Baptist Church.
- The Bible enables one to be wise unto
salvation: 2 Timothy 3:15
- The Bible is inspired, given to us by
God: 2 Timothy 3:16
- The Bible is profitable towards the believer:
2 Timothy 3:16-17
- The Bible is to be preached, proclaimed:
2 Timothy 4:2
- The Bible will be rejected by some, but
preach it away: 2 Timothy 4:3-4
Personal relationship
by faith to Jesus Christ as one’s Savior, God, and Lord is found taught
in a true Bible believing Baptist Church.
- Jesus Christ is the believer’s Savior:
Matthew 1:21
- Jesus Christ is the believer’s God: Matthew

- Jesus Christ is the believers Lord: John
20:28; Romans 10:9-13
The love of God is found
taught in a true Bible believing Baptist Church.
- Love for God: Matthew 22:35-38
- Love for others: Matthew 22:39-40
Iniquity, sin, confessed
and forsaken is forgiven through the blood of Christ is found taught in
a true Bible believing Baptist Church.
- Iniquity, sin, must be confessed and forsaken:
Proverbs 28:13; 1 John 1:9
- Iniquity, sin’s debt was paid for by Jesus
Christ at the cross: 2 Corinthians 5:20-21; Ephesians 1:7
Spiritual success over
sin, Satan, and the solicitations of the world is taught in a true independent
Bible believing Baptist Church.
- The believer has promised victory over
sin, the flesh: Galatians 2:20; 5:16-17
- The believer has promised victory over
Satan: 1 John 3:8-9
- The believer has promised victory over
the solicitations of the world: 1 John 5:4-5
The basics for spiritual
growth and development are found taught in a true Bible believing Baptist
Church. Although there are numerous basic disciples the believer should
be taught in a true local Bible believing Baptist Church the following
are some of the most basic disciplines for spiritual growth and development:
- Practice repentance: Luke 13:3
- Pray: Luke 11:9-13
- Praise and offer thanksgiving: Hebrews
13:15
- Ponder daily upon the Bible: Matthew
4:4
- Proceed by faith: Hebrews 11:1,6
- Participate faithfully in a true local
Bible believing Church: Hebrews 10:25
- Purpose to give sacrificially: Romans
12:1-2 (Your body: Time, Talents, and Treasures)
- Practice Bible separation: Psalm 1:1-3
- Proclaim the Gospel, the Lord Jesus Christ:
Matthew 28:19-20
- Persevere regardless of situations or
circumstances: 1 Corinthians 15:58
- Perceive prayerfully the imminent, pre-tribulation,
second coming of Christ: Revelations 22:20
In conclusion, the previous
thoughts have depicted some basic reasons why a Christian should belong
to a true Bible believing Baptist Church. To sum it up, a true Bible believing
Baptist Church is:
- Sincere exalters of Jesus Christ as
Savior, God, and Lord…
- Steadfast in proclamation of the Word,
the Bible, and the God of the Word, the Lord Jesus Christ…
- Seeking for you, if you are a true
Christian, to be part of her fellowship…
