Delivered To Those That Hate Us By EVANGELIST MIKE AZINGER 7 FOXBORO DRIVE VIENNA, WEST VIRGINIA E-MAIL: MIKEAZINGER@aol.com www.GuardingtheLandmarks.com |

16:27 - "Behold, therefore I have stretched out my hand over thee,
and have diminished thine ordinary food, and delivered thee unto
the will of them that hate thee."
In modern-day Christianity it is politically incorrect to say that we have enemies; which may be why we perpetually get our heads handed to us by those same enemies whose existence we refuse to recognize; they’re the only ones willing to admit that there is even a war going on. And, whether the weak-kneed, spineless, plastic-smile Christians of today are willing to admit it or not, Election Day the enemy handed us our heads again. On Election Night we were - like Israel of old - delivered, if only temporarily, unto the will of them that hate us. If you don’t believe that Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Charles Schumer, John Conyers, Henry Waxman, John Murtha, Hillary Clinton, et. al., hate Bible-believing Christians then you have had your head in the sand the last 15 years. This group that will take control of the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate in January are of the far radical left: pro-choice, pro-tax, anti-gun, anti-freedom of speech, pro-homosexual, pro-environment, anti-war, soft on criminals, and hard on Christianity. Make no mistake: they hate Bible-believers and they hate the Bible-believers’ God. Politics in America mirrors the culture; just look at the last 25 years: Reagan was tough, bold, strongly theistic, yet, like many Americans (even in the 1980s) he was weakened by political correctness (he nominated the train wreck, Sandra Day O’ Connor, for no other reason than that she was a woman, and he invited Michael Jackson - a freak even then - to visit him at the White House); George H.W. Bush was moderate, unprincipled, and hungry to be liked; Clinton was self-absorbed, undisciplined, underhanded, perverted, a liar, a truce-breaker, a deceiver, an adulterer - huh, huh, huh! - and there to be loved; George W. Bush is a good man, an honest man, loyal to his wife, and, I believe, a born-again Christian and a genuine Patriot; but he believes deeply in government-as-problem-solver, is not a principled conservative, and, sadly, does not let his Christian beliefs too often frame his decision-making process when governing the country. His religion is mushy and so are his politics - like the many Americans that he mirrors. And, like the weaklings on the left, he bows fearfully (in respect, not in worship) to the false religion of Islam that vows - he that hath an ear let him hear…! - to destroy us. I do not believe we will elect a Reagan again; we grow softer by the decade, and as one author explained it, we have been conspicuously soft ever since Americans went ballistic when General Patton slapped a soldier to his senses who was in a momentary fit of cowardice. That made Americans squeemish then; imagine what it would do now. Someone - Oh that God would do it! - needs to slap America out of our fit of cowardice and wake us up to the realities of a 21st-century world. God said to a backslidden Israel in the book of Isaiah, "As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them." And He didn’t mean that as a good thing. We in America have women and children ruling over us too - let’s just say it - as if that is natural and healthy. There are plenty of children in both houses of Congress (but especially the Democrats) who are wholly unwilling to be grown-up about the seriousness of the perils that face us in the modern age and who are too selfish and power-hungry to do anything about them. They are children indeed. And we have plenty of women too: Nancy Pelosi - the radically liberal San Franciscan - is to be Speaker of the House and Hillary Clinton has eyes for the White House and is by most accounts a very viable candidate. The women on the Democrat side of the aisle are wild-eyed feminists, hateful of men, authority, and unborn babies, whose sole purpose in life is to prove the unprovable: that women are stronger than men. Women, as Scripture teaches us, are the weaker vessel (I Peter 3:7) (which is precisely why we are attracted to them). They are weaker physically and emotionally, but they are stronger morally making them essential to the foundation of a civilized and Christian society. In their place, women are the crown jewel of God’s creation; out of their place they wreak havock and destruction. The Republican side has their share of women too, who are generally much more conservative, but guilty of many of the same things as the Democrat women. I can’t help but wonder, every time I see a female Republican office-holder, where her kids are, and why is she not with them. A politician - male or female - derelict in familial duties will be derelict in the affairs of state also. Alas, the Republican women are bitten with the feminist bug too. Women are the great civilizers of society - irreplacable in their feminine, god-given role as wife and mother. But when they are in politics (or the workplace for that matter), they are unable to perform their greatest and most important role of society: raising great and godly Americans. Men are made to rule, but for many reasons they do not - they are either afraid or our feminized culture will not let them; so women and children are our kings. Back to the main subject: So how pathetic are we really? We got rid of a good man, George Allen, entirely qualified - professionally and morally - for one of the highest offices of the land for the pathetically inane reason that he made a supposed racial slur. Not only are we revolted by a slap across the face by a general, but we can’t even handle a little name calling. Is it any wonder that we have chosen the cut-and-run party to take over the war? Perhaps we are the children - unable to bare the scorn of a little name calling. We are willing to get rid of one of our most talented and best qualified leaders, George Allen, because of a word, one single word! We also got rid of two of the most principled men in Congress who have stood boldly on the most important issues facing America today - Sen. Santorum (PA) and Congressman J.D. Hayworth (AZ). Santorum was fearless on his support for the War on Terror and J.D. Hayworth was the same on illegal immigration. Sometimes I think we deserve the godless Democrats. And godless they are - understand what this group will be working to do: they will hinder even further the War on Terror, putting our nation in further danger; they will prevent any further tax cuts, block conservative judges, suffocate free speech (by passing the Fairness Doctine), muzzle America’s pulpiteers (by passing Hate Crimes legislation), tighten gun control, block pro-life legislation, and do nothing but hurt national security. A war was started on September 11th, 2001; unfortunately only one party noticed. In his great biography on Abraham Lincoln, Carl Sandburg tells the story about a group of clergymen coming to see Lincoln to protest the running of the war. Lincoln listened patiently and attentively, and then, according to newspapers of the day, replied: "Gentlemen, suppose all the property you were worth was in gold, and you had put it in the hands of Blondin [the great tight-rope walker] to carry across the Niagara River on a rope, would you shake the cable, or keep shouting out to him, ‘Blondin, stand up a little straighter!’ - Blondin, stoop a little more - go a little faster - lean a little more to the north - lean a little more to the south?’ No! you would hold your breath as well as your tongue, and keep your hands off until he was safe over. The Government is carrying an immense weight. Untold treasures are in their hands. They are doing the very best they can. Don’t badger them. Keep silence, and we’ll get you safely across." The most frightening thing about the results from Tuesday night is that the ones in charge now are the ones who have been screaming, yelling, and throwing rocks at our President as he has been up on the high-wire bringing our gold across the Niagra River. The Democrat Party is the enemy of a nation trying to fight a war against terrorism and desperately trying to regain her Christian roots. Here’s something to ponder as you lay awake on your bed tonight: we’ve been delivered, it seems to me, by the Lord into the hands of our enemies, of those that hate us - the godless Democrats. Now, how will our enemies deal with our other enemies, the terrorists? Will it be more important for them to defeat us or Al Quaeda? May God set us free in 2008. |
