The Borderless Illegals Remove the Landmarks

Some remove the landmarks; they violently take away flocks, and feed thereof. – Job 24:2

Landmarks are sign posts that delineate the boundaries or borders of something. When there are no landmarks, chaos ensues as in Job 24, which elaborates on the chaos that follows. Whether in this world, religion, Christendom, or the Fundamentals of the faith, Landmarks are needed.

If not, every man will do that which is right in his own eyes. For the Christian, the landmarks are outlined in the Scriptures, whether by direct command or by principle. We live in a day when the landmarks and borders are being removed, both physically and spiritually.

Removing The Landmarks Of The Fathers

Remove not the ANCIENT landmark, which thy fathers have set. – Pro. 22:28

Remove not the OLD landmark; and enter not into the fields of the fatherless: -- Pro. 23:10

In a day when even Independent Baptists are the new variety of Neo-Fundamentalists, Neo-Baptists,  and Neo-Evangelicals, there are still 7,000 that have not bowed their knee to Baal. There are still those that believe in contending for the faith that was once delivered to the saints.

And there are still those who set their jaws like a flint, who fight a good fight and finish their course. Granted, there does not seem to be as many as there once were that do not have lace on their drawers, but they still exist and I am privileged to know some of them.

Unfortunately, I know some of the others, liberals, who do nothing but oppose and water down the scriptures and also those who stand for the scriptures. They always want something new; that is why they are called "NEOS."

They want new standards, new bibles, new innovations, new methods, and new landmarks and no boundaries as they seek to tickle the ears of their itching ear constituency.

If they still have some old boundaries for show, they get as close to the borderline that they can possibly get. If allowed to, these illegal aliens that will suck the life's blood out of those who respect the borders of the Fathers. If they can, these illegals will rob and steal from the churches and institutions that were built by conservative Christians.

Paul warned about these Creeper Inners and Taker Outers with tears. Apostasy and heresy comes in many forms, but they are usually new trends. We talk about traditional values in politics, but we no longer talk about traditional values and standards in the spiritual realm.

Well, we are talking about them, not the traditions of men as with creeds and councils and denominational edicts -- traditional values from the Bible and a traditional Bible, such values that the Fathers had the wisdom with which to draw the lines and establish the borders.

These NEO-spiritual wet-backs (no ethnic slur intended) do not even bother to get a Green card; they just invade our churches and colleges and cross our borders, muddying the water doctrinally as they cross.

In the early 1900's the modernists took over our institutions and many of our churches, both Baptist and Protestant. There were several men that God raised up to create the Independent Baptist Movements. The results were phenomenal and Independent Fundamental Baptists grew and flourished and established new institutions and churches.

Now, many of them have degenerated back into a form of "live and let live" ecumenism without borders (like the U.S.). Will God raise some men again to offset the trend? We do not know. Whether we are politically correct in this or not, you may judge, but we think we are spiritually correct. Even so, come Lord Jesus! V
