The Bread Represents Jesus’ Body

Matt 26:26 ". . . Jesus took BREAD and said, Take, eat; this is MY BODY . . ."

The Bread Represents the Local Church Body

1 Cor 10:16 "The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the BODY of Christ? For we being many are ONE BREAD and ONE BODY: for we are all partakers of that ONE BREAD . . ."

The Local church of Corinth Was THE

Representative Body of Christ

1 Cor 12:27 ". . . Now ye are THE BODY of Christ, and MEMBERS in particular . . ."

Each and Every Local Church

Represents Jesus’ Body

Col 1:18 ". . . he is the head of THE body [generic], THE church [generic] . . ."

Eph 1:22-23 ". . . the head over all things to THE church Which is his body . . ."

Eph 5:23 ". . . For THE husband [generic] is THE head of THE wife [generic], EVEN AS Christ is THE head of THE church [generic] . . ."

Every Local Church is One Body.

As Christ Is One Body

Eph 4:4 ". . . There is ONE BODY . . ."

1 Cor 12:12 ". . . as the body is ONE and hath many members, and all the members of that ONE BODY being many, are ONE BODY: SO ALSO IS Christ . . ."

Separate Bodies May Be One Body

Eph 5:30-32 ". . . we are members of HIS BODY . . . shall a [1] man leave his father and mother, and shall be JOINED unto his [2] wife, and they TWO shall be ONE FLESH . . . I speak concerning [1] Christ and the [2] church . . ."

The Body Has Baptized Members (In Water)

1 Cor 12:12 ". . . all the members of that ONE BODY being many, are ONE BODY: SO ALSO IS Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into ONE BODY . . ."

Only a Visible Body May Be Fitly Joined

Together and Be Organized

Eph 4:16 ". . . the WHOLE BODY fitly joined TOGETHER . . ."

Only a Visible, Local, Organized Body

Has Possibility of Schism

1 Cor 12:25 ". . . That there should be no schism in the body . . ."

Only a Visible, Local, Organized Body

Facilitates Pastors & Teachers

Eph 4:11-12 ". . . pastors and teachers . . . for the EDIFYING of THE BODY . . ."

Only A Visible, Local, Organized Body Has

Members Who Intimately Affect One Another

1Co 12:25 ". . . that the members should have the same care one for another."

1 Cor 12:26 ". . . And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it."
