Men 18 Feet Tall Coming?

Genesis 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

Contrary to C. I. Scofield’s note on Genesis chapter six we say, “get ready for the second coming of the GIANTS!”

One of the problems is, many good people, including pastors have bought into Scofield’s error of interpretation. By doing so they have left themselves closed to much Bible truth about the beginnings and the end of time. They have also missed much of what is going on throughout the Old Testament.

Scofield or his editors wrote in their note:

"Some hold that these 'sons of God' were the ‘angels, which kept not their first estate' (Jude 6). It is asserted that this title in the Old Testament is exclusively used of angels. But this is an error (Isaiah 43:6). Angels are spoken of in a sexless way. No female angels are mentioned in scripture, and we are expressly told that marriage is unknown among angels (Matthew 22.30). The uniform Hebrew and Christian interpretation has been that verse 2 marks a breaking down of the separation between the godly line of Seth and the godless line of Cain, and so the failure of the testimony to Jehovah committed to the line of Seth (Genesis 4:26). For apostasy there is no remedy but judgment (Isaiah 1:2-7, 24, 25; Hebrews 6:4-8; 10:26-31). Noah, 'a preacher of righteousness,' is given 120 years, but he won no convert, and the judgment predicted by his great-grandfather fell (Jude 1:14,15; Genesis 7:11).

The term “the sons of God” is usually a reference to angels in the Old Testament Job 38:7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? In Hosea 1:10 there is a reference to "the sons of the living God" but it applies to Israel in the Millennium. In the New Testament it is a reference to born again Christians..John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Scofield goofed by trying to make the sons of God into “the godly line of Seth.” There is no such thing as a “godly line” in the Bible. There is a Messianic line but it is hardly “godly.” In it is found an adulterer, a murderer and a harlot. Not too “godly” don’t you think? Not only that but since when does a saved person (Seth) marry a lost person (daughters of Cain) and result in the birth of giants? (men of renown)

I’ll bet you know a saved husband who has a lost wife and their children are not giants. Not only that, but if Seth’s line is so “godly” why would they take up with the likes of the “godless” daughters of Cain? We supposed they had not been exposed to the current apostasy that is prevalent in many churches of today, which have laid aside Bible standards and Bible preaching for “purpose driven” philosophy. (Colossians 2:8)

Another thing, why should all the Sethite men be godly and all the Cainite women be ungodly? Were all of Cain’s descendents “ungodly?” What about the Sethite women? Did any of them marry a Cainite man? If they did were their kids midgets? These are honest questions that need answers. Scofield goofed again when he said: “Angels are spoken of in a sexless way.” The truth is, angels are never spoken of in a sexless way. When they appear they are always male in gender.

Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

Judges 13:6 Then the woman came and told her husband, saying, A man of God came unto me, and his countenance was like the countenance of an angel of God, very terrible: but I asked him not whence he was, neither told he me his name:

Another place where C. I. gets an “F” is when he said, “we are expressly told that marriage is unknown among angels (Matthew 22.30).” Let’s take a look at Matthew 22:30. “For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.” Ooops! I guess Scofield missed the last two words in the verse: “in heaven.” Are all of the angels “in Heaven?” They weren’t in Heaven when they came down and messed around with the rebellious women in those days who had their own “women’s lib” thing going. This is why Paul warns: “Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man. For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.” (1Corinthians 11:9,10) WHAT? You didn’t think Paul was worried about some good angels “being offended” because some wives did not consider their husbands to be the head of the household did you? Paul knew the reason the women in Genesis 6 had cohabited with the bad angels was because of the women’s rebellion against WHAT GOD SAID! “Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.” (Genesis 3:16) When the woman steps out from the “power” (her husband) that God has placed over her, she is leaving herself as a potential target for the devil’s angels. Open sex will be part of the “worship service” in “churches” soon and in the tribulation. (no I did not say the church is going through the tribulation, so don’t get excited!)

The fallen angels had left their first estate, which was the third heaven and come to Earth. “And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. (Jude 1:6,7) The Sodomites of today are still going after “strange flesh” but the “sons of God” went after “strange flesh” in order to try to reproduce themselves. Any flesh would be strange to angels. You may ask, “why would they want to do that?” Elementary my dear Watson: they had been in the Garden with Adam and Eve and heard God tell them to “be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.” We know they were there because the serpent told Eve “ye shall be as gods” Obviously Eve wanted to eat from the Vine Tree to know good and evil and to be able to fly just like the gods! When “the gods” of Genesis 3:5 realized Jehovah God had created a man who is a “son of God” (Genesis 5:1) envy, jealousy and lust drove them to fight against God by mustering their own army of giants while corrupting the seed line of the prophesied Messiah. Genesis 3:15 “ And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”

Hollywood, which belongs to the devil, has been making movies about “iron men” from outer space for years. (Darth Vader, Space invaders, The invasion of the body snatchers et al.) “And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.” (Daniel 2:43) The Bible Believer should notice the iron (the gods) will not “cleave” to each other but will mix with the SEED of men. And the context is just prior to the second advent of Christ. (Daniel 2:44)

The observant student should also notice that Satan’s army of giants all have names that end in “ims” as revealed in your divinely inspired, preserved King James Bible. The reason for this posterior likeness is because of their connection with the fifth of five Cherubim, Lucifer. (Ezek 28:14) (“fifth” the cherub of death) “The Emims dwelt therein in times past, a people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakims; Which also were accounted giants, as the Anakims; but the Moabites call them Emims. The Horims also dwelt in Seir beforetime; but the children of Esau succeeded them, when they had destroyed them from before them, and dwelt in their stead; as Israel did unto the land of his possession, which the LORD gave unto them. (Deuteronomy 2:10-12) These Giants showed up before Noah’s flood and AFTER Noah’s flood. They will also show up again, soon, because Jesus said they would: “And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. (Luke 17:26-30)

How was it in the days of Noah? “the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.”

How was it in the days of Lot? “And in the fourteenth year came Chedorlaomer, and the kings that were with him, and smote the Rephaims in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzims in Ham, and the Emims in Shaveh Kiriathaim,” (Genesis 14:5) Here are the GIANTS in the days of Lot.

The heathens in Paul’s day were expecting the “gods” to come down. “And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men. And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker.” (Acts 14:11,12)

God said the gods are to die like men. “I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.” (Psalms 82:6,7)

Can you imagine what the nightly news will be like when the visitors from outer space (or inner space) show up. The world is looking for them but they are not looking for Jesus. (1Thes. 5:2)

The devil spent a lot of time trying to destroy the seed line of the Messiah through out the Old Testament but to no avail. There are many examples: Cain being the first one of them, being the first born to Eve. However you did notice that Cain “was of that wicked one” didn’t you? (1John 3:12) You also did notice, one conception and two boys came out, didn’t you? And how about that Noah? He got in trouble with the grapes like Adam did. The devil is very sly. It seems there was this sex act that happened. But who is sufficient for these things. Then later there was Judah who is in the Messianic line. Did you ever wonder why Genesis 38 is a parenthesis in the book.

“Godly line of Seth verses the ungodly line of Cain”!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? J

John Calvin with his T.U.L.I.P. theology, taught the atonement of Christ was limited. This is true but not the way Calvin taught it. The atonement is limited to everyone who is born being in Adam’s bloodline. The Lord Jesus Christ was not in Adam’s bloodline. (Acts 20:28)

Calvin taught an eeny meeny miny moe salvation where supposedly, God in eternity past, unconditionally, elected some people to be saved, in time, and others were considered “reprobates” and could not be saved, under any circumstances, because Jesus was not going to die for them. Thus: “Limited Atonement.” Anybody whose genealogy goes back to Adam and Eve can be saved if they will be saved. The “limited part” is really people who are born of the devil. They cannot be saved being not born in of Adam. Jesus died for Adam’s race.

If you are saved you were taken out of Adam and placed in Christ. To be born “in Adam” is to be lost and needing to be born again. (John 3) Being born of that wicked one is another matter. Judas Iscariot is a good example. “Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?” (John 6:70)

So the devil tried to corrupt the seed line of Christ, who is called “The Word” in John chapter one. When you were born, physically, you were “born of water.” When you were born again (if you are) you were “born of the Spirit.” Peter said: “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, (Adam’s) but of incorruptible, (the King James Bible) by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. (1 Peter 1:23) John said: “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.”

Since the devil failed to corrupt the seed line of the Word, (Messiah) he has been trying to corrupt the seed line of the word. He cranks out a new version about every six months and dumb, ignorant people buy them. Your King James Bible has it right: “Word” refers to Jesus; “word” refers to the Bible. You cannot sin, because you are sealed by the Holy Spirit but your flesh can and does. If you are born again the devil hates you because you have replaced him and his fallen angels as the “sons of God”

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Phil 2:15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Paul talked about corrupting God’s word when he said: “For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.” (2 Corinthians 2:17)

Now if all of this is too much for you, it could mean you have been studying the wrong Bible or maybe going to the wrong church. Some of Scofield’s notes are pretty good but you have to watch out for others. I don’t mind correcting him since he is already in Heaven and now knows where he goofed with those “godly Sethites.”
