AMERICA: THE END TIME BABYLON?

Rev 17:4  And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

5  And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

Rev 17:9  And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.

Revelation 18:1  And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.

2  And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

3  For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

4  And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

5  For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

After reading Revelation chapter 17, one should notice Revelation chapter 18 starts out “And after these things” (emphasis mine). Revelation 17 is about end time “RELIGIOUS” Babylon headed up by antichrist and the coming one world religion. It is about Rome and her off-springs. (Protestants, Charismatics, Pentecostals, faith healers, Billy Graham crusade joiners, Promise Keepers, et al). Graham’s San Diego crusade includes rock/rap bands, tongue speaking bands, and according to Graham’s letter: “nearly 700 churches representing 66 denominations have joined together in preparation for this historic event.” (This is a whole article to be done later.)

Revelation chapter 18 is about end time “COMMERCIAL” Babylon.

Babylon New York is a suburb of New York City and you can find it on your map. The United Nations is in New York City, which is a complete disgrace and should have been ousted decades ago. There is no other city in the world like New York City. There is no other nation in the world like America.

Since the great attack of September 11, 2001, when the twin towers fell, (Isaiah 23:13) America has rallied to a renewed patriotism. This is encouraging. We have a decent President once more. This is encouraging. We are rebuilding our military. This is encouraging. The cry goes out, “united we stand.” This sounds encouraging but the cry should be “REPENT TO THE GOD OF THE BIBLE AND WE MIGHT STAND.”

Without repentance America is doomed. But you ask, “what about the great charismatic revival now going on? That comes in under mama harlot in Revelation 17. That is her off-springs running home to Rome. There is no real Bible revival.

In the old days when a real revival broke out in a city and evangelists preached, the taverns closed down, the houses of prostitution went under, harlots got saved, drunks poured their liquor down the drain, sodomites were few and hiding in the closet and doctors were not murdering thousands of unborn babies.

Now everything is out in the open. Satanic incrementalism has allowed wickedness to become acceptable. African sex music and culture is accepted as normal in America and in many churches. Roman Catholic pedophile “priests” have been brought to light but the pope does little or nothing. Dope pushers get their hands smacked by left wing, liberal judges instead of being hung. Presidents appoint sodomites to governmental posts and one president’s wife marched down the street with sex perverts, arm in arm.

The ACLU is ever trying to remove all references of God and the Bible from public places. They want the sodomites out of the closet and God and the Bible out of existence.    

Some California state-run schools are teaching students the Koran and Islam. The children are dressed in Islamic costumes and participate in roll playing. God may be long suffering about open immorality but watch out when America teaches and turn to Allah!

Hollyweird and television spew nudity, cursing, blasphemy, violence, pornography, sodomy and every other form of sin, and politicians (and most churches) are silent. The Supreme Court says no praying in school or at football games but they, along with congress, open there sessions with a generic prayer. This is hypocrisy exalted.

The left wing communists along with the mass media have brought the nation to lowest ebb. True Christianity is hidden in a quagmire of confusion, worldliness and misrepresentation. Cultism is rampant and very few churches are taking a stand against the wiles of the devil. (Eph. 6)

At this writing, America is engaged in a war with Iraq and we now pretty much control the land of Babylon.

America is doomed to God’s judgment in the future. The Bible says: “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. (Proverbs 14:34) and “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. (Psalms 9:17)

But what about America?  Did God leave the greatest, commercial nation out of His book? We hardly think so. 

End time commercial Babylon is described in Revelation chapter 18 and Jeremiah chapters 50 & 51. Ancient Babylon may fit some of the verses in Jeremiah but many refer to end time Babylon and its total destruction. Our present conquering the land of the Chaldeans is more than coincidental. We will own ancient Babylon as well as end time “commercial” Babylon.

As America continually searches for the terrorists, more nations turn against us. It is fear and jealousy. God has used heathen nations to bring judgment and captivity upon His people in the past and it is coming again.

Jer 50:9  For, lo, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the north country: and they shall set themselves in array against her; from thence she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of a mighty expert man; none shall return in vain.  The arrows mentioned in this verse are probably atomic ICBM’s that come over the North Pole and hit the USA. Notice the destruction and fall-out in the following verses.

    Jer 50:13  Because of the wrath of the LORD it shall not be inhabited, but it shall be wholly desolate: every one that goeth by Babylon shall be astonished, and hiss at all her plagues.

    Rev 18:10  Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.

    Rev 18:17  For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,

    Rev 18:18 And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!

The end time Babylon is a relatively young nation, compared to other nations, and described as “hindermost.” Our mother is England.

Jeremiah 50 verse 12 says:  “Your mother shall be sore confounded; she that bare you shall be ashamed: behold, the hindermost of the nations shall be a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert.

The time of Babylon’s destruction (in the context) is sometime during the tribulation.

America is the next to the last great world power before the second advent and is in league with England and Russia: (Daniel 7; Revelation 13)

Since the United Nations is completely impotent: the great “coalition” to come is England: (lion), Russia: (bear), America: (leopard). These three powers will work with ten demoniac kings in the tribulation. The USA will have 52 states instead of 50. (4x13).

America is the “mingled” nation “like a leopard,” representing the three sons of Noah: Shem, Ham and Japheth. These are the fathers of the three races before all of the mingling started. Now the USA is the most mixed nation on earth.  Jer 50:37  A sword is upon their horses, and upon their chariots, and upon all the mingled people that are in the midst of her; and they shall become as women: a sword is upon her treasures; and they shall be robbed.

Rev 13:1  And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

Rev 13:2  And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

This coalition will be headed up by the antichrist. He is a political, “one world order” advocate.  He will be shot in the head (like Kennedy) but will be brought back to life by Satan through the false prophet. (Pope of Rome). He will then be a combination of a man of Roman descent, Judas Iscariot, and Satan. (John 17:12; Revelation 9, 13, 17) He will have a bad right eye and a bad arm. “Woe to the idol shepherd that leaveth the flock! the sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened.” (Zec 11:17)  (I haven’t yet given up on maybe it’s Slick Willy!)

America, (end time commercial Babylon) is already being referred to as “THE HAMMER.” I have heard the expression used a number of times in the news by our military. This expression has to do with our going from nation to nation and smashing the Islamic terrorists.

Jeremiah 50:23  “How is the hammer of the whole earth cut asunder and broken! how is Babylon become a desolation among the nations!”

The great super power (The Hammer) is brought to rubble. The greatest commercial nation in the history of the world, gone, if this reference is indeed to America. 

“The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. (Psalms 9:17)   The left wing communists in our government have taken the Bible and prayer out of the schools and put queers, condoms and Islam in.

The USA, that we love, is headed down the slippery slope to perdition. Going the way of the old Roman Empire. The last stage is pride and apathy.  Jeremiah 50:31  “Behold, I am against thee, O thou most proud, saith the Lord GOD of hosts: for thy day is come, the time that I will visit thee.”

Jeremiah 50:32  And the most proud shall stumble and fall, and none shall raise him up: and I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall devour all round about him.

The disciples came to Jesus and asked him: “what shall be the sign of thy coming?” Jesus gave two examples: “the days of Noah and the days of Lot.”

Luke 17:28  Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

Luke 17:29  But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

Luke 17:30  Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

Lot is a type of the Christian that has no testimony, no souls won, no Bible standards, no Bible convictions, hob-knobs with sodomites and if he were living today, would enjoy going to church with Demas at Jerry Falwell’s church. (2Timothy 4)

2 Pet 2:6  And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;

2 Pet 2:7  And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:

2 Pet 2:8  (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)

Just as Lot was delivered out of Sodom before the fire falls, so the church age Christians will be caught out to meet the Lord in the air before the wrath of God comes to a godless world. Are you ready?

I have taught the USA is the end time commercial Babylon for thirty years. I could be wrong. I hope I am but I don’t think so. The repentance of our nation and turning to the Lord Jesus Christ is our prayer but I have not found it in the Bible. We love America and are happy and blessed to have been born and to have lived here. We are patriotic but always keep in mind that this world is not our home. We are just passing through.

Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. (Colossians 3:2-4)
