If we are wrong about the doctrines of your church not being found in the Word of God we would be glad to hear from you. In fact, if you, or your Priest can show us from the Word of God that these doctrines are in the Word of God, and not man made, we will apologize in print and become Catholic.

Likewise if you cannot find them in the Word of God why are you a Catholic? Why don't you get BORN AGAIN the Bible way which will give you a sure thing for heaven. Religion will not save you. Good works and being religious will not take you to heaven.

We hate all religions including BAPTIST RELIGION. If all you have is Baptist Religion (or any other kind of religion) you will burn in Hell for ever. SALVATION IS IN A PERSON AND THAT PERSON IS THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. HE WILL SAVE YOU BY HIS GRACE. DO YOU HAVE A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM? WHEN DID YOU GET BORN AGAIN?

Is The Catholic Church Correct About Saints?

"Call now, if there be any that will answer thee; and to which of the SAINTS wilt thou turn? (Job 5:1)

"Behold, he putteth no trust in his SAINTS; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight." (Job 15:15)

The word "SAINT" appears 101 times in the Bible.

I was thinking it's about time we Bible Believing Baptists "dub" some saints of our own. After all why let the Catholics have all the fun in their frivolity.

After much anti-intellectual consideration, I thought, who better than Brother Don Edwards of Las Vegas to be our first saint. He would make a grandiose example of sainthood both physically and spiritually. The only problem, he ain't dead yet.

The Church of Rome likes to proclaim saints after they are dead. We will establish saints while they are still alive. What a novel idea!

Many great men of God have been awarded "Honorary Doctorates." As Pastor of the Clairemont Bible Baptist Church, publisher of The Flaming Torch and "Chancellor" of Clairemont Bible Baptist Institute, I have decided to issue some "Honorary Sainthoods." Let it be known that the ladies can also become saints. This exercise in sainthood is not for the preachers alone. No sireee Bob. It stands to reason if we are going to Make Bro. Edwards "St. Donald" it would be ideal to make Mrs. Edwards, "St. Mary." This would put Bro. Edwards in an inferior position to her, (where he belongs.) After all, who could be a higher Saint than St. Mary?

The inspiration for this great venture in proclamation came when I noticed the Church of Rome had a St. Donald. Their St. Donald lived at Ogilvy in Forfarshire, Scotland in the eighth century. He and Mrs. St. Donald had nine daughters who became known, posthumously, as the "Nine Maidens." The children of momma harlot celebrate the saint's feast day on July the fifteenth. (Revelation 17)

Having written this epistle, tongue in cheek, let us go on to a sound exegesis of truth.

WHO ARE SAINTS ACCORDING TO THE WORD OF GOD?

The truth is, every born again, blood bought, child of God is a SAINT, although some do not live too saintly. All true Christians are saints. People become saints the moment they trust in Christ as their personal Savior. Catholic saints are proclaimed saints, after they are dead, because of their good works. This literally means nothing.

"All the SAINTS salute you." (2 Corinthians 13:13)

"And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the SAINTS, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ". (Ephesians 4:11-12)

"Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the SAINTS in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons." (Philippians 1:1)

"All the SAINTS salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar's household." (Philippians 4:22)

"And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the SAINTS which slept arose." (Matthew 27:52)

"But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh SAINTS." (Ephesians 5:3)

"To the end he may stablish your hearts unblamable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ WITH ALL HIS SAINTS." (1 Thessalonians 3:13)

"And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his SAINTS. (Jude 1:14)

"Here is the patience of the SAINTS: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus." (Revelation 14:12)

"And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the SAINTS, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration." (Revelation 17:6)

There are Old Testament Saints, new Testament Saints, Tribulation Saints and Millennium Saints. ALL OF THEM ARE SAVED BY THE BLOOD OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.

"Forasmuch as ye know that he were not redeemed with corruptible things as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF CHRIST, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot." (1 Peter 1:18:19)

The Saints proclaimed and worshiped by the Roman Catholic Church are pure folly. This wicked and wacky dogma, invented by the Popes of the dark ages, has been taught to Bible ignorant Catholics for centuries. Some catholic people are among some of the most superstitious folks on earth, the idea of praying to saints, that do not exist, is not too wild for them.

Praying to saints is another moneymaking scheme of idolatry, as is purgatory. Catholic folks have been taught to pray to Mary and pray to the saints. This was designed by the devil to keep them from praying to the One Mediator.

"For there is ONE GOD, and ONE MEDIATOR between God and men, THE MAN CHRIST JESUS; Who gave himself a ransom FOR ALL, to be testified in due time." (1 Timothy 2:5-6)

Many of us remember poor old St. Christopher. For years our catholic friends had his little feet glued to their dashboards in their cars. Legend had it that when "Chris" was crossing a river, a child asked him for a "piggy back" ride to the other side. Well, when the child hopped on, it was all Chris could do to carry him. He felt like he weighed a ton.

According to this Roman Catholic fairy tale, the kid turned out to be "Christ" with the weight of the world on his shoulders. However, Chris was able to get him across. This is what made some wino, gasbag Pope decide to make Chris a saint. The unsuspecting "Laity" (Catholic people) bought into the lie and purchased the little statues like mad. More $$$$ in the till at Rome. (More booze money for the liquor heads.)

Then in 1969 the Pope decided to wipe out a number of their saints and with one fell swoop, he dumped a bunch of them in the garbage can where they belong. This was about the same time that they were considering making Buddah a saint. However, there was some discernment about his acceptance, among some of the clergy who wore penguin suits, dunce caps and beanies. Buddha's sainthood would also be hard to sell, to the laity, in the R.C. Church so they dropped the idea.

When St. Christopher was trashed, it brought much sadness among some of the Catholic brethren. After all, he has been protecting their lives from storms, plagues, irate mothers-in-law, and California drivers for a good number of years. What were they to do now that Chris had no power? Poor little guy was defrocked by the hierarchy without a trial or an inquisition! The sale of his graven image must have, no doubt, fallen off sharply.

With all of this, Rome still bows down to her saints and exalts some above others. Too bad our Catholic friends don't get themselves a King James Bible and start obeying God rather than Rome.

"And ye shall know the truth, and THE TRUTH shall MAKE YOU FREE." (John 8:32)

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, THE TRUTH, and the life: NO MAN COMETH UNTO THE FATHER, BUT BY ME." (John 16:6)

"If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." (John 8:36) †
