SUCCESS

The word "success" only appears one time in the King James Bible (Joshua 1:8-9). This passage deals with OBEDIENCE TO GOD, not with results of our labors.

God defines SUCCESS as:

Disciplining the mouth with TRUTH.

Meditating on the TRUTH (disciplining the mental process).

Observing to obey every aspect of TRUTH (the result of the mental/mouth discipline).

THIS RESULTS IN PROSPERITY AND GOOD SUCCESS.

In Psalm 1, prosperity is also associated with RIGHTEOUS LIVING (personal honesty, integrity, implementing TRUTH into the "warp and woof" of conduct).

My wife uses this definition of SUCCESS when she teaches at ladies' seminars:

"Success is finding God's will for you and doing it without violating other parts of HIS Word."

To be successful, just do what God says, leave the results to HIM, and ignore the most "conservative" of your critics.
