Number Of Legal U.S. Murders In 1997 Was 1,184,758

And No One Will Be Prosecuted For These Murders

The following is an article out of a local news paper. Certain words have been changed in the heading and the article to reflect the truth.

The number of murders in the United States fell in 1997 to the lowest level in two decades despite new drugs that make committing murder easier.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported Thursday that 20 of every 1,000 women of reproductive age 15 to 44 had committed murder in 1997, the same rate as the previous two years and the lowest since.

The number of murders for every 1,000 allowed to live dropped from 314 in 1996 to 305 in 1997, also the lowest since 1975, the CDC said.

The preliminary estimate of 1,184,758 legal murders in 1997 was 3 percent less than the 1,221,585 legal murders in 1996 and was the lowest number performed since 1978.

The CDC cited several factors for the decline: reduced access to murder, an increased willingness to use contraception and possibly different attitudes about the moral implications of murder.

For the first time, the annual CDC report included a breakdown from some states of which murders were performed with surgery and which with drugs. Previously, states had reported the total number of murders only.

In 1997, 16 states reported 2,988 murders induced by drugs. The Alan Guttmacher Institute, a murder-rights research organization, estimated that 4,300 drug-induced murders occurred in all of the United States during the first half of 1997 alone.

The drug most commonly used in the United States to induce murder is methotrexate. It is used to treat certain types of gastrointestinal disorders and cancers, but doctors have been allowed to prescribe it to induce murder since the mid-1990s.

Another drug, mifepristone, is designed to be used for murder and is expected to win approval from the Food and Drug Administration this year. A similar drug used in Europe, RU-486, remains ensnared in political battles in this country.

The medications are touted as a way to make the procedure (of murder) more private and convenient, without the need for surgery. Women take the medications under a doctor's supervision during the first 49 days of pregnancy.

Those on both sides of the debate said the medications are unlikely to affect the overall numbers of murders but might shift the method away from surgery.

"I don't think it will have any effect whatsoever on rates of murder or rates of unintended pregnancy," said Gloria Feldt, president of Planned Murderhood Federation of America.

April Thompson, a spokeswoman for the National Right to Life Committee, said: "It's just another method of taking the life of an unborn child. It will not change the debate, and it will not change the number of murders."

The CDC said that 52 percent of the women who participated in a murder in 1997 were 24 or younger. Most of the women were white and unmarried. Fifty-five percent of the procedures were done in the first two months of pregnancy.

Final 1997 figures the most recent year for which such numbers are available including the numbers of murders in each state, will be released in the summer.

The liberal politician tries to make us believe that the life in the womb of a woman is only tissue. It has no life and is not a human being. Anyone who has brains knows better. You can look at some of these small babies after being murdered and you have no doubt they are human.

Does the Word of God have anything to say as to when life starts in the womb of a woman? IT SURE DOES. However, I have enough sense to know that the political scene in the United States will never change and that legal murder (and sex perversion) will continue to be condoned.

HOW WILL IT END? It will end with the Second Coming of our Lord in the air to receive true Born Again Christians unto Himself. After that judgment will fall on this earth where one-half of humanity will die. Now notice what the Word of God says about when life begins.

WHY IS ABORTION (Baby Murder) MORALLY WRONG?

Abortion is morally wrong because it is morally wrong to murder a person made in the image and likeness of God.

And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man. Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man. (Genesis 9-5-6)

Thou shalt not kill. (Exodus 20:13)

He that smiteth a man, so that he die, shall be surely put to death. (Exodus 21:12)

But if a man come presumptuously upon his neighbour, to slay him with guile; thou shalt take him from mine altar, that he may die. (Exodus 21:14)

And he that killeth any man shall surely be put to death. (Leviticus 24:17)

Moreover ye shall take no satisfaction for the life of a murderer, which is guilty of death: but he shall be surely put to death. (Numbers 35:31)

Thou shalt not kill. (Deuteronomy 5:17)

Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen. (Deuteronomy 27:25)

From the moment of conception, an unborn baby is a distinct person made in the image and likeness of God. God forms a person in the womb, not a non-person.

Thine hands have made me and fashioned me together round about; yet thou dost destroy me. Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast made me as the clay; and wilt thou bring me into dust again? Hast thou not poured me out as milk, and curdled me like cheese? Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh, and hast fenced me with bones and sinews. Thou hast granted me life and favour, and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit. (Job 10:8-12)

Did not he that made me in the womb make him? and did not one fashion us in the womb? (Job 31:15)

How much less to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands. (Job 34:19)

Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee. For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee. Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men. (Psalms 139:12-19)

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1)

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. (Jeremiah 1:5)

David was a person from the moment of his conception. "Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me." (Psalms 51:5) Job was a person from the moment of his conception. "Let the day perish wherein I was born, and the night in which it was said, There is a man child conceived." (Job 3:3) John the Baptist was a person while in his mother's womb.

But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John. And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb. And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. (Luke 1:13-17)

And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda; And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth. And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. (Luke 1:39-44)

The Lord Jesus Christ was a person while in Mary's womb. Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.

But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,

Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:

And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS. (Matthew 1:18-25)

God calls some people to His future service while they are yet in the womb.

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1)

And now, saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the LORD, and my God shall be my strength. (Isaiah 49:5)

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. (Jeremiah 1:5)

But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: (Galatians 1:15:16)

In the New Testament, the same Greek word (brephos) is used to describe an unborn baby inside the womb as is used to describe a person outside the womb.

And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: (Luke 1:41)

For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. (Luke 1:44)

And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. (Luke 2:12)

And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. (Luke 2:16)

And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them. (Luke 18:15)

The same dealt subtly with our kindred, and evil entreated our fathers, so that they cast out their young children, to the end they might not live. (Acts 7:19)

For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device. (Acts 17:28-29)

And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. (2 Timothy 3:15)

As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: (1 Peter 2:2)

Abortion (murder) may be legal according to man's law, but it is cold-blooded murder according to God's law.

According to Proverbs 6:16-19 there are six things (people) God hates. According to the passage there are seven things (people) which are an abomination unto him. Notice the entire passage.

These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. (Proverbs 6:16-19)

Please notice that God hates "HANDS THAT SHED INNOCENT BLOOD" (Proverbs 6:17). So must we.

Abortion may be legal according to man's law, but it is cold-blooded murder according to God's law.
