Have you tried BAPTIST BREAD?
Many years ago we furnished the well known daily devotional, "Our Daily Bread" to our people in the church. They used it in their daily devotions. I believe it was put out by Radio Bible Class. At some point, the newer more liberal crowd took over and they started using the corrupt New King James Version. I wrote to them, as did many others and complained. It did not do any good. I was informed they were trying to keep up with the times.
When I was called to pastor this church, they were using "Our Daily Bread." I tossed all of them in the trash, which brought me some scorn from a few of the weaker saints.
I thought, "I will find a suitable substitute." Ha! Was I in for a surprise. Then somebody showed me a devotional booklet put out by the Creation Research Institute here in San Diego. I looked it over and, wow, they used only the Authorized King James Bible. I ordered some of the booklets. This turned out to be a hasty decision. Even though they "USED" The Authorized King James Bible, many of the writers did not "BELIEVE" it. They corrected it anytime they felt like it. So, I was back to square one. I trashed them!
Here comes the good news. We have discovered the devotional booklet "BAPTIST BREAD." This is what we have been looking for.
BAPTIST BREAD is published by Dr. Tim Green, an Evangelist who is a Bible Believing, Independent Baptist. All of the writers are Bible Believing Baptists. Preachers, BAPTIST BREAD is an excellent way to get your people interested in family devotions. They read a page daily along with their Bible study. It is a great tool to put in your new converts' hands. If you would like to order some you won't be disappointed.
